Here's How To Host A Spooky Soirée
Once you age out of going door to door to get candy in a costume, and if you aren’t lucky enough to live on a street with trick or treaters (apartment woes!), what’s left?
Don’t despair! We are here to show you how to host a sophisticated Spooky Soirée fit for all the dapper ghouls and gals in your life.
We are big fans of Pinterest for gathering ideas and inspiration for all things party prep. We’ve made it easy and created our own Spooky Soirée Board for your reference. We also love creating saved collections on Instagram! They’re super handy for whenever you reach a scroll-stopping image and want to file that away for later (hint- like all of our delicious cocktail kits!).
Now, on to the fun!
MINIMAL SPOOKY SOIRÉE
THE LOOK Simply clear off your favorite bookshelf or entry way nook, and slowly add small spooky touches with other non-hallo eve items to create an artful vignette. Your party will come off as curated and polished, with just the right amount of fright.
THE EATS Who said fine dining and halloween don’t mix? Focus on amuse bouche (or one bite snacks). We love the idea of using test tubes to hold soup shooters for an unexpected twist, or creating mini caramel corn cones or caramel apples for guests to snack and walk.
THE ACTIVITY Create miniature minimal splatter pumpkins with your guests to take home. You’ll be the buzz of the internet with your artful halloween happenings.
THE COCKTAILS Lean into fall flavors without overwhelming your modern minimal party theme. We love a classic like the Royal Fizz, with gin and a hint of orange blossom. Plus a frothy foam reminiscent of your favorite latte!
MAGICAL TAROT EXPERIENCE
THE LOOK Think: The plushest seance you’ve ever attended. Deck your halls in cozy sheepskins with lots of black candles and crystals. Moody jewel tone flowers help set the table too.
We’re ready for you spirits! And we’re ready for some spirit-forward drinks too 😉
THE EATS Bring on all things purple and piled high. This frightful fiesta is all about maximalism. We’re dreaming of grazing tables filled with wine-rind cheeses, chocolate dipped oranges, heaps of grapes, and garnish your own drink stations.
THE ACTIVITY Set up fortune teller crystal balls and tarot card readings for one on one experience for your guests. Treat others to spa-like activities like a DIY nail art bar (with temporary nail tattoos!) and let guests roam and sample.
THE COCKTAILS We hinted at it earlier, but we love a drink station. Simply order one, or all three 😉 , of our new Tarot themed cocktail kits for Hallo’s Eve made just for us, by award-winning Diageo World Class US 2019 champ Katie Renshaw.
It’s so easy to take out all the ingredients from the kits, prop up the recipe cards and let party guests shake or make their own!
