Stephan Mendez began his bartending career in speed bars and clubs throughout San Antonio and Austin. In May of 2012 he was part of the opening team for 1919, The first cocktail bar in the Southtown neighborhood of San Antonio, which grew to become Texas’s largest whiskey selection. Later he would join the Esquire’s team on the Riverwalk until accepting the position as General Manager of Blue Box at the historic Pearl Brewery. In April of 2015 he joined the Boulevardier team as Bar Manager of The Last Word before becoming Beverage Director over their 5 venues. A founding member of San Antonio’s USBG chapter, he currently serves as Vice President as well as Bar Manager for Paramour Bar.
