Basque in the Moonlight

To celebrate the opening of the Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure© Exhibition, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® – has created a trio of collectible ‘Bombay for Real’ Special-Edition cocktail kits launching once a month through July. As “for real” was a signature catchphrase Basquiat used to express enthusiasm, each ‘Bombay For Real’ kit will feature a cocktail recipe from a bartender, inspired by one of Basquiat’s exclusive artworks featured at the latest King Pleasure© Exhibition in New York City. The perfect canvas for creativity in cocktails and beyond, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE is the exclusive spirits sponsor of the exhibition, continuing its long history of supporting the arts and diverse creatives.

Last month, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE launched the “Birds of Paradise” kit, inspired by Basquiat’s work “Charles the First” and created by Bartender Cyllan Hicks from New York City. This month, Bartender Andra “AJ” Johnson from Washington, D.C. has crafted the “Basque in the Moonlight” kit, drawing from the renowned artist’s background and Basquiat’s iconic piece “Untitled (Moon)”. This kit is made with a blend of tropical flavors that are accentuated by BOMBAY SAPPHIRE, allowing each ingredient to shine through just as bright as the moon in the painting. It will be available for purchase from May 7 through June 7.

To collect all three special edition kits before summer ends, keep an eye out for “The Sprout in Pisces” crafted by Bartender Nigal Vann from Chicago, which will be available for purchase from June 7 through July 7.
