Making Coffee-Infused Whiskey:

  1. Pour bottle of Whiskey over 2 tsp of coffee in a large container, stir, cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Strain coffee out of the infusion using a fine mesh strainer plus coffee filter, and pour the infused Whiskey back into the bottle and label “Coffee-Infused Whiskey”.

Making The Cocktail:

  1. Using a Muddler or teaspoon, gently muddle pink peppercorns with measured amount of rose syrup in Mixing Beaker.

Interesting Twist

My wife and I are huge fans of classic bourbon drinks. I thought this was an interesting twist on the old fashioned. Nice work and well worth the try if you enjoy old fashioneds and manhattans.

New Twist on an Old Fashioned

The coffee infused burbon added a new dimension to this classic. The addition of orange and floral notes made for a very enjoyable drink. Smooth and sweet but far from an umbrella drink.

Nicely Spiced

This was a lovely take on a traditional old fashioned. The cardamom bitters were a great addition to the already mildly spiced (from the peppercorns and coffee infused bourbon) drink. Would definitely make again!

Pleasantly Surprising!

Im not sure how she decided these ingredients should all go together, but they do, so just go for it. Who knew coffee-infused bourbon would be such an amazing idea. Its an interesting take on a classic that actually doesn’t steer too far from the original, even though the ingredients sound like it would. Definitely recommend this!

Very good, but complicated recipe

This drink was a little more complicated than the others I’ve gotten. Making coffee-infused whiskey was a bit much.
I used Cleveland Whiskey coffee infused whiskey instead and it was a very good drink.

Unexpected Combination that Works

I didn’t expect coffee-infused bourbon to work with rose syrup but it does. The coffee-infused bourbon was a unique twist that brings out the smokiness of the bourbon. With the inclusion of muddled peppercorns and bitters, this is one tasty drink!

The recipe seemed a little intimidating at first but wasn’t too complicated. The instructions were a little unclear and we weren’t sure what to do with the instant coffee. The taste was delicious and the Govino glasses were a nice addition.
